Agile QA Manager (5040C)

We are actively seeking an Agile QA Manager for a contract to hire position with a customer in Nashville, TN. The QA Manager will be responsible for managing QA team members (on shore or off shore). QA Manager needs to be effective working with cross functional teams in an agile environment. Candidate will be responsible for establishing and implementing a testing framework for agile development model.
General Responsibilities:
• Creates scalable QA processes and templates for use on all products
• Develops and executes testing programs to address areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, regression testing, negative testing, error or bug retest or usability
• Conducts resource planning and administrative management of employees and vendors in QA function
• Educate staff regarding quality assurance methodologies, ensuring timely, accurate promotions of code and new applications into production
• Leads test procedures to ensure ability to replicate and compliance with standards
• Manages defect tracking for all tests and maintains defect database
• Defines and documents the scope of testing work to be produced
• Oversees creation of technical documentation based on the template and scope of work using the information gathered
• Serves as peer mentor for junior employees
Required Skills for Agile QA Manager
• 5+ years of hands on QA and QA management experience
• Strong understanding of SDLC and ability to work with development teams in iterative development environment
• Ability to create sophisticated test plans and effectively execute against plans
• Experience coaching employees and managing vendor relationships
• Experience with a variety of QA tools- both manual and automated
• Ability to lead cross-functional and remote teams
• Experience with unit testing is desired
