Sr. Information Security Engineer (5038C)

We are seeking an experienced Sr. Information Security Engineer for a 6 month contract to hire opportunity in Nashville, TN.  Must be able to work in fast paced, deadline driven environment. Strong work ethic and communication skills are imperative.
 

Responsibilities Include:
• Perform vulnerability assessments of operating systems, applications, databases and network infrastructure. Must be able to detect, enumerate and classify major risk areas for trend analysis.
• Use auditing results to make assessments. Ensure confidentiality and integrity to meet internal and external compliance.
• Develop and maintain Risk Management applications.
• HIPAA Security and Privacy rules, the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, PCI DSS, HITECH
• Must be able to coordinate with fellow team members, other departments and business partners
 

• 3+ years experience in Information Security
• 2+ years Web application programming (Perl, JavaScript, HTML, CSS)
• 2 +years MySQLMSSQL programming including stored procedures, ODBC, and other database technologies
• 2 + years experience with web servers. Apache, Linux, IIS, Windows
• 2+ years Networking basics including knowledge of Active Directory, TCP/IP, and related concepts
• Knowledge of worms, viruses, spyware and other harmful code.
• Experienced in operational support for applications, networks and systems.
• Application and systems automation and scripting.
• Must have excellent time management, self motivation and organization skills.
• Excellent communication skills are vital.
• Must take Perl Programming Exam.
