We are seeking an experienced HIE Application Engineer for a 12 month contract to hire position in Nashville, TN. The Application Engineer will be part of a team responsible for integrating 3rd party applications with our client’s portal and ensuring those applications strategically align with development standards, and best practices.
 

Responsibilities Include:

• Provide technical leadership in the development and support of a reporting application utilizing DM and Business Objects components
• Translate business requirements into technical design specifications
• Assist in the development of portal architecture as it relates to integrations with other applications
• Must be able to complete moderate to complex development assignments without assistance
• Build strong relationships within the department and business partners
• Understands everything about the application and how all the components work together
• Can resolve complex on call issues without assistance
• Multi-task, establish and meet target dates
• Design Interface Solutions
• Design and execute all phases of applications testing 

• 7+ years experience in Application Engineering
• Must be able to review requirements and craft technical design documentation that allows for future scalability, interoperability, and reduced maintenance
• Extensive knowledge of ETL and database reporting tools
• Strong understanding of clinical systems, web development and application support
• Excellent writing, verbal, reasoning, math, presentation and leadership skills
• Bachelor’s Degree Required. Prefer Information Technology or Computer Science
