Technical Project Manager (4983C)

We are actively seeking a Technical Project Manager for a Contract To Hire opportunity in Nashville, TN.  Our client is looking for an experienced and motivated Project Manager who can lead our technology project teams to deliver outstanding results on-time and on-budget. The ideal candidate has experience  managing large (5,000+ hours), complex software development or implementation projects; has outstanding oral and written communication skills and is adept at relationship management.
 
Responsibilities Include:
 
• Manage day to day activities of projects. 
• Responsible for supervision of approximately 12+  developers ( onshore / offshore mix ). 
• Required to be a “working” manager with some hands on development
• Develop and lead project team to deliver results.  
• Overall responsibility for design and development of approved functional requirements for the maintenance and enhancement of the application.
• Manage project team resources, such as technical resources and vendors.  
• Develop presentations and provide status information as requested.
• Overall responsibility for Level 3 customer support of the Concuity and Logging applications.
 

Required Skills for Technical Project Manager

• Strong project management skills and experience (6-10 years), preferably with some experience in a hospital setting
• Experience with in depth, large scale, enterprise wide projects
• PL/Sql in Oracle would be a plus; Oracle TopLink would be a plus 
• Very strong MS Project skills
• Strong leadership skills
• Excellent communication skills 
• PMP preferred but not required
• Local candidates or candidates in the process of moving here only
