Enterprise Network Engineer (4866C)

We are actively seeking an Enterprise Network Engineer for a consulting position in the Nashville, TN area.  The contract will last for 6+ months and requires a senior level of expertise in network engineering in enterprise environments.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Recommend, design, and implement LAN and WAN network solutions
  • Provide Enterprise data networking designs, services, consulting, and support in a very large & complex environment with national reach
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert across network technologies, services, and additional related components
  • Interface directly with end-users, vendors and executives corporate wide
  • Network impact analysis, modeling, network capacity planning
  • Design and support for network security technologies and products

Required Skills for Enterprise Network Engineer

  • Experience delivering complex nation-wide enterprise WAN/LAN designs utilizing best practice switching/routing technologies and topologies
  • OSPF/BGP routing protocols, IP advertising/filtering/redistribution, Quality of Service, IP multicast
  • Level II network troubleshooting/problem resolutions, protocol analysis, network troubleshooting/problem determination skills with network trace/capture/analysis software
  • Experience with acquiring, merging and integrating networks is desired.
  • Significant experience with the following network technologies:
    • OSPF/BGP
    • MPLS,T1, DS3, Metro Area Networks
    • Cisco switching and routing
    • Cisco VTP
    • Networking services for ACS, AAA, DHCP, BOOTP, DNS, ICMP and SNMP

This is a hands-on senior level consulting position that will require significant expertise with complex enterprise networks.  Fortune 500 experience is highly desirable.  The Enterprise Network Engineer will be required to work on site in the Nashville, TN area, but will not be required to travel to other locations.
