We are actively seeking a Network Architect for a position in Nashville, TN. This architect position is responsible for both design and risk analysis regarding a broad range of IT infrastructure solutions but with special emphasis on Network Design and Architecture. The position demands deep expert knowledge Cisco, VMware, CITRIX, Storage Area Networks, Virtual Desktops Applications, Virtual Tape Library(VTL), Tape Backup Units, Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery(BC/DR), familiarity with Data Center Operations, Power VM, and in addition to an ability to work closely and collaboratively with the Security and Compliance, Voice, Video, Data Networks.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
• Manages the design and development of enterprise network architecture framework including the technology architecture strategy, policies, standards and best practices.
•Identify comprehensive solution architectures
• Be able to compile professional ROI models and presentation for suggested technologies
• Develope prototype implementation to illustrate a technologies use at an enterprise level
• Maintains broad knowledge of new technologies, identifies those that may benefit company and evaluates their potential integration into current solutions; considers impact to current production systems when evaluating new technologies
• Provide project audit oversight to ensure compliance with current approved architecture
• Accurately identifies and documents system components, logical flows and hardware interfaces
Required Skills for Network Architect
• Comprehensive knowledge of Cisco enterprise hardware, software, application and system engineering processes.
• Experience with business and IT strategy development, IT portfolio management, systems engineering and other related disciplines
• Possession of excellent leadership skills to indirectly manage across functional teams toward common solutions
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills and proficient technical writing and diagramming tools
